Worshipers of Spirit And Truth 🔥 Shavuot/Pentecost 🔥
The account of The Giving of the Holy Spirit in Acts 2 would have been magnificently monumental to those there celebrating the Feast of Weeks (Shavuot) that glorious day in Jerusalem. For them, they would have understood what was happening as a prophetic fulfillment from their prophets Jeremiah (ch. 31) and Ezekiel (ch. 11/36)…’The New Covenant where Torah (Instruction) is written upon the hearts (minds) of Followers and they are given a new spirit’.
Please do not listen to pastors or teachers (or ‘regular’ folks or spirits) that tell you to ‘unhitch’ yourself from the ‘Old Testament’ (or any advice like it) or that it’s irrelevant for you today.
The continued path of worshipful study of Kingdom Instruction (Torah) in the Torah/Nevim/Ketuvim (Tanakh or ‘old testament’) is NOT for your SALVATION, it’s for your SANCTIFICATION (which brings to YOU FRUITFULNESS by His Holy Spirit!):
‘Sanctify them in the Truth, Your Word is Truth’ – Yeshua (John 17:17)
Q: WHAT would have been the Word of Truth that Yeshua was speaking of? The Books we LEARN HIS INSTRUCTION from. The same Books He taught the ‘two on the road to Emmaus’ in Luke 24.

44 Yeshua said to them, “This is what I meant when I was still with you and told you that everything written about me in the Torah of Moshe, the Prophets and the Psalms had to be fulfilled.” 45 Then he opened their minds, so that they could understand the Tanakh, 46 telling them, “Here is what it says: the Messiah is to suffer and to rise from the dead on the third day; 47 and in his name repentance leading to forgiveness of sins is to be proclaimed to people from all nations, starting with Yerushalayim.
A: The same Books that Paul referred to when he was teaching Timothy about what was required for a group of talmidim (disciples) to finally and securely walk in Freedom in the Holy Spirit for the sake of their ‘being made whole and equipped’ (see entirety of 2 Timothy 3):
16 All Scripture (Tanakh or ‘old testament’) is God-breathed and is valuable for teaching the truth, convicting of sin, correcting faults and training in right living; 17 thus anyone who belongs to God may be complete and fully equipped for every good work.
Therefore we are in NEED of both G-d’s Word of Instruction to us (that we might ‘agree’ with Him) as well as His Holy Spirit of Truth to enable us to ‘do good’ and live a life that glorifies the Father (John 15:8), and not ‘grieves His Spirit’ (Ephesians 4:30).
THIS is to BE a worshiper in Spirit and Truth as Yeshua spoke of to the Samaritan Woman in John 4. THIS is to know ADONAI’s Ruach (Spirit) of Chesed AND Emet. HE is both, not one or the other.
If anyone professes ‘Truth’ and yet is void of the Holy Spirit’s ACTS OF KINDNESSES (*chesed), THAT, my Friend is LEGALISM.
If anyone professes ‘Spirit’ and yet is void of the Holy Spirit’s PROCLAMATION OF TRUTH (*emet), THAT, my Friend is LICENTIOUSNESS.
We have NEED of Holy Instruction and its Interpreter, Holy Spirit.
If anything, today’s Followers need to CHECK our hitches and see if they’re tightly secured to the greater understanding of what the writers of the New Covenant wrote to us/for us.

To: Those who, through the righteousness of our God and of our Deliverer Yeshua the Messiah, have been given the same kind of trust as ours:

3 God’s power has given us everything we need for life and godliness, through our knowing the One who called us to his own glory and goodness. 4 By these he has given us valuable and superlatively great promises, so that through them you might come to share in God’s nature and escape the corruption which evil desires have brought into the world.
Thank the Creator of LIFE for His Holy Spirit Who reveals His Word of Instruction, writing It upon our hearts, beckoning us to ‘do GOOD, master sin’ and LIVE!
As we learn to love (give) Him with our entire minds (first! – bekhol levavkha) through the careful, intentional study of His Torah (Instruction), His Holy Spirit WRITES it upon our hearts (minds). It is this that leads us to then love (trust Him by ‘giving’) Him with our entire soul (bekhol nafshekha) and finally our entire ‘muchness’ (bekhol me-odekha)! (Shema – Deut. 6)
So instructs The Living Torah, Yeshua:
John 14:15 – “If you love Me, you will keep My commandments.”
John 14:21 – “He who has My commandments and keeps them is the one who loves Me; and he who loves Me will be loved by My Father, and I will love him and will disclose Myself to him.”
To summarize, a faithful and true ‘talmid of Rabbi Yeshua’ must recognize herself/himself to be a STUDENT OF HIS TORAH (teaching) while acquiescing as a VESSEL OF HIS SPIRIT’S ever-flowing kindnesses and respectfulness. To worship in ‘Spirit and Truth’ means in your humanness, you become aware of your proclivity to choose one over the other. His Spirit of Truth will never disagree with Truth. These Two are of the One Holy Spirit of Chesed (loyal lovingkindness & respect) + Emet (truth).
Time to LEARN and LISTEN, be made whole and equipped for His Kingdom Service….
