Hebrew Letter AYIN (Numerical value = 70)
The EYES have it. Or better still, the AYINs have it.
Have what? Whatever it contains through acquiring – good or bad, optimal function or utter dysfunction!
This Hebrew letter AYIN עַ literally means ‘eye’ as in the physical eye. It also connotes a ‘fountain’.
Can you SEE the connection? What we choose to FILL THE EYE with (or simply choose to NOT *intentionally fill the eye with what G-d declares as ‘tov’: good) inevitably becomes a seemingly unstoppable fountain in our lives.
I have conversations often with ‘believers’ who don’t really know what they believe. Or, they have yet to discover that their true beliefs don’t align with the Character of G-d Almighty – The Compassionate One. They live in agreement with man-made doctrines that keep them imprisoned to the choshek (darkness) and astonishing chaos (fruitless, mindless existence). This isn’t The Good News they had hoped for. There is LIGHT still being spoken over us…YEHI OHR!
What is flowing into your surroundings from your eye’s mindset? Can this be altered if it’s not ‘good’?
Furthermore, the numerical value is 70 which is 10 x 7. Ten is the biblical number of elevation or ‘otherworldliness’ and seven is the number of ‘fullness, being full of/complete with’ something. There is the SEVEN-BRANCHED HOLY MENORAH (G-D’s Character – see Isaiah 11) and there is the seven-branched lamp of the wicked (beastly character – see Proverbs 6 as these seven are laid out). Both are ‘FULL’. And both are our two daily choices.
The letter AYIN is the first letter of the Hebrew word ‘anavah’: HUMILITY, lowliness’. This is not a subservient and impotent posture, but a posture of GREAT VISION, POWER| *SEEING FROM THE LOW PLACE as opposed to being stricken by blind arrogance/pride/conceit/lifting oneself…’for G-d opposes the proud but gives grace to the humble’ (Proverbs 3:34).
It is revealing that our EYE CONDITION besets our entire worldview. It has that power over us…that is, whatever (‘theology’ or ‘ideology’) we GIVE OUR MIND’s EYE to. True HUMILITY is POWER TO SEE AND EXPERIENCE A TYPE OF DELIVERANCE from a mindset of bondage (issuing from pride/agreements with opposition to LET THERE BE LIGHT). And let’s face it, it’s far easier to remain in bondage to wrong religious ideology than to enter into the work of FREEDOM – FRUITFULNESS – ONENESS/WHOLENESS!
