Celebrating Sukkot/Dwelling

John 1:14 – NAS – And the Word became flesh, and DWELT (fixed a tabernacle) among us, and we saw His glory, glory as of the only begotten from the Father, full of grace and truth.

John 1:14 – WH – και ο λογος σαρξ εγενετο (5633) και εσκηνωσεν (5656) εν ημιν και εθεασαμεθα (5662) την δοξαν αυτου δοξαν ως μονογενους παρα πατρος πληρης χαριτος και αληθειας

Yeshua The Anointed One, fixed His Tabernacle among us.

What are we to make of this?
The Living Word of the Most Holy, High, and Perfectly Faithful and Compassionate Father is even MORE TRUE than 1+1=2.   And His Great Chesed is why HE gifted us HIS Son to come and tabernacle amongst us. #sukkot #dweltamongus #tabernacle

GREAT/ABOUNDING SHALOM have those who LOVE Your TORAH, and no thing causes them to stumble. – Psalm 119:165

Why are they NOT stumbling? (Because they have CHOSEN TO GIVE THEMSELVES to His Torah!)

ABOUNDING PEACE = LOVING TORAH

We can think of this verse as GIVING (ahav) OURSELVES to (the loving, learning and living of) His Torah.
Yeshua, the Prince of Peace, being the Whole Counsel and Living Torah Himself, expressed this when HE said ‘If you LOVE Me, you will KEEP/GUARD My Commandments’ (Instruction/Torah).
John 14:15 – “If you love Me, you will keep My commandments.”
John 14:21 – “He who has My commandments and keeps them is the one who loves Me; and he who loves Me will be loved by My Father, and I will love him and will reveal Myself to him.”
And what about those pesky COMMANDMENTS? (Sounds too hard!)
Is it?

Exodus 20:1 Then God spoke all these words, saying, 2″I am the LORD your God, who brought you out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of slavery. 3″You shall have no other gods before Me. 4″You shall not make for yourself an idol, or any likeness of what is in heaven above or on the earth beneath or in the water under the earth. 5″You shall not worship them or serve them; for I, the LORD your God, am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers on the children, on the third and the fourth generations of those who hate Me, 6 but showing lovingkindness to thousands, to those who love Me and keep My commandments. 7″You shall not take the name of the LORD your God in vain, for the LORD will not leave him unpunished who takes His name in vain. 8″Remember the sabbath day, to keep it holy. 9″Six days you shall labor and do all your work, 10but the seventh day is a sabbath of the LORD your God; in it you shall not do any work, you or your son or your daughter, your male or your female servant or your cattle or your sojourner who stays with you. 11″For in six days the LORD made the heavens and the earth, the sea and all that is in them, and rested on the seventh day; therefore the LORD blessed the sabbath day and made it holy.

Look familiar?
The Hebrew word for ‘commandment’ is mitsvah that stems from the root word tsavah meaning ORDER. His commandments are specifically designed to BRING ORDER into our lives even when we’ve made a chaotic wreck of it (YES, just like in Genesis 1, by HIS WORD)!
John 14:15 – “If you love Me, you will keep My commandments.”
John 14:21 – “He who has My commandments and keeps them is the one who loves Me; and he who loves Me will be loved by My Father, and I will love him and will reveal Myself to him.” ~ Yeshua, The Anointed One
HIS GREAT LOVE longs to lead us to a LIFE OF PEACE through the ‘loving of His commandments’.
All this HE did (does) just to bring YOU (and keep bringing you) PEACE.
