Hems and Struggling WITH The Divine One
2nd Adar 5784 THE YEAR OF THE OPEN DOOR 2.11.24
We aren’t so much scared of being ‘alone’ as we might be scared of ‘being alone in the struggle’. What I mean by this is without properly guided thoughts, ordered thinking – we STRUGGLE. Some of our minds are mostly ‘at peace’…others of us, not so much. We STRUGGLE. A lot.
There’s an instance of a great struggle in the Scripture where Jacob struggles with The Angel of The LORD. In the hours of struggling with the Angel of The LORD, Jacob gets his name changed to ISRAEL which means ‘contends with G-D’. (Genesis 32)
The GLORIOUS thing about STRUGGLING WITH G-D is something *ALWAYS* comes to LIGHT (literally). SOMETHING CHANGES. Struggling alone – what’s the point? Struggling WITH G-D, contending with The Holy Torah’s Instruction that gives Life & Blessing, questioning, studying, grappling with these Holy and Cosmic Thoughts down here ‘on earth as it is in Heaven’ – THAT’s what we’re here to DO. It’s because of this struggle WITH G-D – which is the struggle WITH LIGHT – that we can SEE and thereby ORDER our lives accordingly. LIGHT brings ORDER and the darkness is driven away. Don’t be afraid to ‘grapple with The Word/The Torah’. SEEING IN THE LIGHT is a Divine Invitation to ORDER ourselves in a manner that not only pleases our King, but brings THE GOOD NEWS of Freedom! Fruitfulness! and UNITY! into our very existence (which is WHY HE is pleased!).
We are equipped (refined) through this struggle WITH G-D. The struggle BEGINS in our minds – the very ‘thing’ we are to LOVE ADONAI ELOHEINU with the entirety of (The Shema – Deut. 6/The Greatest Commandment – Matt. 22). This is GOOD NEWS, an infiltration of MAGNIFICENT LIGHT that pushes back our darkness.
This world needs OHR (Light). Your world needs LIGHT. Let there be LIGHT – don’t struggle against yourself by yourself.
Those ‘LIVING Words’ are The Way to LIFE & BLESSING. We have a Divine Mission.
Another Encounter
Remember the lady with the ‘issue of blood’ for twelve years (Mark 5, Luke 8)? (This instance was never just about a physical healing – but ALL KINDS of healing – spiritual, mental, emotional, relational…)
She had tried everything at the hand of many ‘healers’ and went broke in doing so, only to get worse, she was never healed. (What/who needs HEALING COUNSEL in your own life?)
UNTIL…
She touched the ‘hem’ of Yeshua’s garment. What is so significant about that?
The ‘hem’ was the ᴛᴢɪᴛᴢɪᴛ that every Jewish male wore on the corners of their garments in order to REMIND THEM OF THE COMMANDMENTS of G-D to GUARD (that would in turn, ‘KEEP’ [guard!] them.)
John 14:15 “If you love Me, you will keep My commandments; 16 and I will ask the Father, and He will give you another comforting Counselor like me, the Spirit of Truth (Ruach of Emet), to be with you forever.”
What are we missing from the Healing Counsel of Spirit of Truth that will ‘CONNECT & LIBERATE’ us (and those we love!) taking us to our own experiential REST and RESTORATION?
